How To Get Here!

To Managua:

Book a flight to Managua through your travel agent, or try one of the on-line companies such as Orbitz or Travelocity. There are several airlines flying into Nicaragua: American, LACSA, Iberia, Continental, Aviateca, Grupo Taca, Delta or Spirit, who is offering great fares from Ft. Lauderdale, FLorida. We have found that sometimes we can better understand flight options, and even get better fares, by going directly to the airlines' web pages. Fares are often cheaper flying to San Jose, Costa Rica and then up to Managua with Grupo Taca. Many major airlines offer direct flights to Liberia or San Jose, Costa Rica from major cities in North America and Europe.

One can also take Ticabus or Nicabus from Costa Rica and Panama or Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras respectively. It is safe, inexpensive and easy. The VIP bus is a good way to go.

From Managua, fly La Costena to Corn Island. The flight takes only about one and one half hours, and leaves twice daily, at 6:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Sometimes there is a brief stop in Bluefields. Book international flights that arrive at least an hour before these times. The return flights to Managua from Corn Island leave Big Island around 8:30am and 3:30pm and arrive approximately 1 1/2 hours later. We have had guests make the trip between our hotel and New York in a single day. The cost of a round trip ticket to Corn Island from Managua is about $165 with tax and fuel surcharge. VISA, MC and US dollars are accepted.
